Creating a technology company is known as the riskiest business to start because of the intense competition and high capital needed to start the business as well as the bleak chances of success, Added to that if a new smartphone startup comes up it will be a decade behind the competition ads big companies like Samsung, apple have poured billion in their research and development hence coping it with these companies is very difficult unless you are the ex founder of one of the biggest smartphone company in the world - OnePlus
Birth of Nothing
The news headline wrote - The founder of Oneplus - Carl Pei has resigned from One Plus to create his own technology company - Nothing, this headline sends shockwaves and excitement among the tech community. Carl Pei was well known as the top tech CEO in the world, his resignation and creation of the company were truly special
Throughout the next few months, nothing created curiosity and anticipation among the tech community with the help of its unique marketing. On 27th July 2021 Nothing launched the Nothing ear1. The next-level design created a state of awe in the tech community and soon became one of the most trending tech companies in the world d. This launch cemented it as one of the top tech companies in the future, and most importantly gave nothing to its community filled with tech enthusiasts who wanted something different in their hands. After the launch of Nothing War it was able to get a funding of 96 million to scale its products.
Over 3 years, nothing launched a couple of products and has cemented its base and created an active fanbase and community.
Apple for Android
Is it right to say that nothing is Apple for Android, well not exactly but it borrows elements from Apple. I have a Nothing phone 2a sitting on my desk and the only thing common is the size and the feel of it hence it cannot be said as a copy of Apple.
Carl Pei's idol when he was young was Steve Jobs, he believed in his idea of continuous innovation, an aspect which the current Apple lacks, hence his main goal with nothing was to keep innovating and it is on the track of doing so. Nothing phones have several first-in-the-segment features like the Glymph interface and several other software features as well as its UI design.
Cures Distraction?
One of the elements of Nothing phones is that is proclaimed to reduce distraction from your phone, is it true? well kind of, Nothing has implemented several features to restrict you from using the phone. Nothing phone has a special monochrome theme that prevents you from opening another app, it has a fancy glyph interface that has features like priority notification and a progress timer that prevents you from checking the screen of your phone.
hence, in conclusion, nothing phone can cure distraction if used strategically and using all of Nothing's features, most importantly the monochrome theme
Future
The Future of nothing phone is bright and if it continues to innovate and go to par with its vision it can succeed and become one of the most sought-after technology companies., But this all requires continuous innovation and high investments in research and technology. Nothing does not have as big a budget as Samsung or Apple but it is slowly giving money for research and development if the progress continues. Nothing can overweigh an apple in market reach and capitalization
